    Terms of Service

    New Home Cleaning – Terms of Service

    1. Scope of Services

    New Home Cleaning provides residential cleaning and related services as agreed at the time of booking or quotation.  Services are limited strictly to the scope selected or approved in advance. Tasks not expressly agreed to are excluded unless authorized prior to service and may result in additional charges.

    2. Acceptance of Terms

    By booking a service, approving a quote, enrolling in a membership, or continuing to use our services, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service, the Master Service Agreement (MSA), and any applicable service or membership addendums.

    3. Scheduling, Cancellations & Rescheduling

    Clients may cancel or reschedule a service by providing a minimum of 48 hours’ notice, unless otherwise stated in a signed agreement.

    Late cancellations, same-day cancellations, skipped visits, or repeated rescheduling may result in charges, pricing adjustments, loss of membership eligibility, or reversion to standard non-member pricing, as governed by the MSA or applicable addendums.

    4. Access to Property

    Clients are responsible for ensuring safe and timely access to the property at the scheduled service time, including providing accurate entry instructions, alarm codes, and securing pets.

    Failure to provide access may be treated as a same-day cancellation, with consequences governed by the MSA.

    5. Payment Terms

    Payment is due on the day of service unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

    Late or failed payments may result in service suspension and recovery of reasonable administrative or collection costs.

    In the event of a chargeback or reversed payment, the client remains responsible for the full service amount plus any third-party processing fees and reasonable administrative costs incurred.

    Invoices not paid within five (5) days of the service date may be subject to a late payment charge of up to 2% per month (24% annually), calculated monthly.

    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services until all outstanding balances are paid in full.

    6. Satisfaction Guarantee

    If the client is dissatisfied with a service, written notice must be provided within 24 hours of service completion.

    Where appropriate and at our discretion, we may arrange a re-clean of the affected area or issue a service credit in lieu of a re-clean.

    Labour and completed services are non-refundable.  Resolution options and limitations are governed by the MSA.

    7. Pricing & Rate Adjustments

    Rates are based on service type, frequency, property condition, and scope of work at the time of booking.

    Rates may be adjusted with a minimum of 30 days’ notice.  Continued use of services after notice constitutes acceptance of updated pricing.

    Recurring service pricing assumes consistent service frequency and materially similar property conditions between visits.  Missed visits, extended gaps, or changes in frequency may result in pricing adjustments.

    Any rate locks, where offered, are governed exclusively by a Membership Addendum and do not apply to non-members.

    8. Recurring Services

    Recurring services continue until cancelled by either party in accordance with these Terms, the MSA, or applicable addendums.

    Rules related to service frequency, scope adjustments, and condition changes are governed by the MSA.

    9. Memberships, Credits & Promotions

    Memberships and promotional programs, where offered, are governed exclusively by a separate Membership Addendum.

    The following is a summary only.  In the event of any inconsistency, the Membership Addendum governs.

    • Memberships may be cancelled but are not eligible to be paused
    • Membership benefits apply only while the membership is active and in good standing
    • Upon cancellation or termination, all unused or future credits, benefits, discounts, and rate protections are immediately forfeited and have no cash value
    • Credits are non-transferable, non-refundable, may expire, and may only be redeemed in whole units
    • Credits may not be combined with other discounts or promotions

    10. Damage, Breakage & Liability

    We are not responsible for damage resulting from normal wear and tear, pre-existing conditions, improper installation, aged or delicate materials, or items not designed to withstand standard cleaning methods.

    Clients are responsible for notifying us in advance of fragile items, specialty surfaces, or areas requiring non-standard care.

    Detailed liability exclusions are governed by the MSA and applicable service addendums.

    11. Windows, Water & Structural Conditions

    We are not responsible for leaks, water intrusion, or damage caused by faulty or deteriorated seals, improper installation, structural deficiencies, rot, corrosion, aging materials, or windows and doors that are open or unable to close properly.

    Exterior and window-related services involve inherent risks related to property condition, materials, age, and environmental factors. Additional terms may apply through service-specific addendums.

    12. Health & Safety

    We reserve the right to refuse or stop service if conditions are unsafe, unsanitary, or pose a risk to staff.  Health, safety, and hazardous condition rules are governed by the MSA.

    13. Staff Authority

    Our staff are not authorized to modify these Terms or make binding promises on behalf of the company.  Any exception must be approved in writing by management.

    14. Documentation

    We may take before-and-after photos for quality assurance, training, marketing, or dispute resolution purposes.

    15. Termination of Service

    Either party may terminate services at any time by providing notice.

    Termination does not waive outstanding balances, cancellation charges, or other obligations. Upon termination, all unused or future credits, benefits, discounts, and rate protections are immediately forfeited and have no cash value.

    16. Waiver of Enforcement

    Any waiver, delay, or accommodation granted on a particular occasion does not constitute an ongoing waiver of our right to enforce these Terms fully in the future.

    17. Limitation of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of the service provided. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

    Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

    18. Entire Agreement & Hierarchy

    These Terms of Service, together with the Master Service Agreement and any applicable service or membership addendums, constitute the entire agreement between the parties.

    In the event of any conflict, the following order of precedence applies:

    1. Membership Addendum (if applicable)
    2. Service-specific addendums
    3. Master Service Agreement (MSA)
    4. Website Terms of Service

    19. Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.

    20. Amendments

    We may update these Terms from time to time.  Material changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of services after posting constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
